THE LIVING TRADITION OF ASHTANGA YOGA
The Mysore Style class is the traditional format of the Ashtanga Yoga method, transmitted exactly as it is practiced in India. In this model, each student learns the sequence of postures gradually and in a personalized way, building your own practice over time. This allows you to develop the autonomy to apply it to your daily life.
Although the practice is individualized, it takes place in a collective environment, where each person practices at their own pace, while the teacher observes, guides, and adjusts according to each practitioner’s needs. The role of memorization and presence:
In this method, memorizing the sequence is not just a technical matter: it is a process of empowerment.
By learning and internalizing the order of the postures, the mind is trained to become more present and focused, developing mental clarity, emotional stability, and physical vitality.
This conscious repetition reconditions the body and mind for states of full awareness – an essential step on the path of yoga.
